expected something special, but was disappointed. the kettle was literally a mystery puzzle, as it wouldn’t even come off its stand. also, who thought no plugs near a mirror woudl be a good idea? a complimentary snack woudl ve been lovely to offset all of this mediocrity. stunning decor, tho—even if it did have crumbs in the drawer.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the perfectly designed Executive Suite. The luxurious shower experience was delightful, and the decor was a lovely blend of modern and stylish. Plus, the attentive service, especially with the thoughtful treats for my dog, made it special.
No reception staff on-site.

Recommended for a quick getaway
Had a good time at this hotel! Check-in was smooth with codes doing the trick, didn’t see anyone but it felt really private and peaceful.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but it was acceptable enough for the comfort provided.

Beautiful room! Very clean and contemporary.
The bathroom light was flickering, which can be a severe issue with epilepsy. I was also disappointed to find the room noisy, making it difficult to sleep with all the disturbance from other guests. I struggled with the parking fees as the machine didn't offer the correct options, leading to an unexpected high charge of £14.

Gorgeous decor and the shower was just divine! Loved the spacious room and mountain view—felt like a dream. Clean and unique, with no nasty carpets in sight!
The mattress was firmer than a brick, and the extractor fan seemed to be auditioning for a horror movie. Oops! A few crumbs in the bedside drawer didn’t help either.

missingWrote a review on Jul 12friendly staffdelicious cream cakesnarrow twin bedsno fridgelack of activities
The twin beds in the King Room were surprisingly narrow, more akin to single beds. Although the room was spacious, there was no fridge, which would have been beneficial. Friendly staff made for a pleasant atmosphere, and the Haystack cafe downstairs served delicious fresh cream cakes. Unfortunately, the town had a lack of activities, leaving it feeling somewhat desolate.

It was just a decent option for a short staycation in Merthyr Tydfil with excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. Consider asking for a room with a view if available.

Modern room, clean room, with the added convenience of free wi-fi and nearby parking that was very reasonably priced for exploring the surrounding nature.
